“You’re too young.” “Watch and learn.” “You don’t have enough experience.”

Teens hear a lot of “no’s” or “not yets” during this pivotal time in their lives, but Earthwatch offers teens the opportunity to take action and make an impact. Teen volunteers are treated like field researchers, because that’s exactly what they are.

Whether they choose to conserve sharks in the waters of Belize, study sea otters in the pristine Alaskan wilderness, or monitor wildlife in the tropical forests of Costa Rica, teens collect critical data alongside actual scientists, while making a positive impact on our environment.
